DDC #22 "Things With Wings"

the last few weeks have been challenging for me. We have struggled with weather and then my dental work, with only my mom here to help cause my hubby was on the road with work, I really appreciate everything she did for me! Well there is a light at the end and I am feeling much better! An I even have a nice report...This week when I stepped out onto my front porch to my wondrous surprise standing under my peach tree was a beautiful baby fawn....She spied me and I carefully hurried back into the house to retrieve my camera and though she did run she didn't go very far and I got a few shots of her beauty!

I decided to do a CAS card, thought it would be great for a note card just to have on hand. I used brown flocking for the center on the flowers for a little dimension the rest is CAS!!!

DDC #21 "Anything With Wheels"

Had a very bad week....Had 2 wisdom teeth out on Wednesday and one was a really bad extraction as the roots were curled into a fish hook shape..Oral surgeon said he never seen root like that before! the roots were curled like a fish hook and then fused together so the bone had to get broke for it to come out, and he had to make a large insison in my gums to get the roots out without breaking the tooth off...so its been a very interesting week for me...lots of pain med and sleep...My mom was here every day taking care of me as hubby was outta town on work!! So glad she was able to help and keep me company!!

I got this card done last week as I knew it was going to be a dificult week for me.

I used Digi Darla's Race Car colored with Prisma colored pencils and the cut out with  Spellbinders and then distressed the edges! I used some Boy DP that was mud wheel tracks for tire marks...then I recycled a fake auto remote key as an embelishment!

DDC #20 "Animal Crackers"

Animal Crackers...

Here is a card that I did for a birthday celebration for a child!

I used Digi Darla's Circus Elephant. Colored with my prisma color pencils. Cut out with Spellbinders and cut out a mat with it too using glitter paper. I distressed the DP and inked it. I have a Circus Acrylic Stamp set and used that for the sentiment and the inside of the card as well and colored them too!

DDC #19 "Noah's Ark" 2 by 2

What a week it has been! We had a massive storm hit us Last Friday night 6/29/12 it was called a Super Derecho and we had winds reaching 80mph, with hardly any warning other than server thunderstorm warnings. It was after dark when the storm hit and we could hear the winds howling, it was scary, We lost power for 3 days with temps reaching 104-107 during the day. Some people in our area lost power till Sat and Sun 7/7-7/8 (9 days) with high temps it was surely a test of faith!

Our son and his family were ones that lost power all week, so we did alot of babysitting cause the daycare didn't have power either, unfortunately he also lost all his food in his fridge and deep freezer, over $500 worth, he had no way to get a generator or even barrow one. He works at a hotel and thankfully they offered him, his wife and the baby a comp room so they were able to be in the AC and shower and sleep in comfort.

So that was my week in a nutshell, I do hope that where you are that you had a

better week and did not experience any of this storm as it was pretty wide spread!

This heat wave has well wore out its welcome, we are ready for some cooler temps!

Now onto this week's challenge! This week our theme is "Noah's Ark 2 by 2"

(2 of something on your creation - it does NOT have to be animal theme as long as we see 2 of something on your project)

We as DT this week "Teamed" up in pairs and chose a Digi Darla image that each team would do, It was great fun seeing what each one of us would do with the same image!

Vicky and I teamed up and this in my card, be sure to stop on over to her BLOG and see
 what she did with this great image!

"Digi Darla's Hungry Olie". I took the image and mirrored it and created 2, colored with prisma color pencils then blended with OMS, I chalked the sand at the bottom of the ocean and the chalked the blue water in the background. I added some starfish gems and distressed the embossed background paper, added some ribbon and a couple pearls.

I flipped the Sketch, colored with prisma color pencils and blended. then Chalked the sky and some of the green grass. Cut out with spellbinders scalloped circle. the DP is by DCWV the blossoms & Butterflies Stack, and the flowers I put together are from Recollections
